Thanks. Yes all taken at the farm, it's the best time of year at the moment.

You're in a top spot MR.
Looks like plenty of moisture too.

It's dried right out again up here.
Slashing this last week has had me hidden in a cloud of dust... hayfever for days

Yeah we did a pushie ride this morning on our tracks and I got dusted literally and metaphorically by the missus.

It's back to normal after 2 years of severe drought. Hoping for a wet winter allowing groundwater to recharge.

I've seen them crossing the road in the city and in our camp in the middle of the Strzelecki desert. Effers are everywhere.

There's plenty of cover for them were I am, you typically only see young ones (as in the photo) out in the open during the day. Mature ones are as the saying goes...... cunning.

Shame that photo's in focus, or you could've posted it in the panther thread.

Our spring fed waterhole half filled back up in March, but it's dry enough to ride through again already.
There's been rumours of a wet winter. I sure hope it's true, but like most grapevine weather forecasts, based mostly on wishful thinking.
Elders show sfa for us for May and they're usually overly optimistic.

Hahah, wish Iíd thought to photoshop it.

We are lucky and have a lot of groundwater / natural springs, up in the higher country you see water literally flowing out of the ground. These pictures are of one spring taken last October after 18 months of severe drought (50% or less of annual average rainfall for the previous 18months). I havenít visited any of them since it started raining in January but they will have returned to full swamps Iíd imagine.

Fingers crossed for a wet winter here also.
