I couldn't find any points posted yet, but North bannister roadhouse is a great starting point for a ride.

I will be going this weekend hopefully so anyone up for a ride post a reply.

Off Mundaring Wier rd, there is the Bahen rd turnoff in Hackett's Gully. Don't actually travel down Bahen rd, go into the gravel under the powerlines going ESE, (not the ones going more south that cross over Bahen rd) until you get to the first pylon 50m in or so. The powerlines cross over Mundaring Wier rd here, and continue ESE on to the Muja power station roughly 200km SSE I believe. The trail under the powerline is quite rough with gravel and caprock for the first 15km or so, eventually it smooths out. It is quite punishing on the suspension. There a great number of trails passing through and coming off this powerline trail however, which makes it an excellent access road. Trailers can park up under the first pylon near the Bahen turnoff.

You can see the main powerline trail cut out of the trees.

MGA GPS Coordinates: 414996/6462209 - you can find it on the skyview metropolitan north west map too.

The best two places i ride in perth are Metro rd on the brookton hwy, and goorie rd off the gt eastern hwy.
To get to metro rd drive down the brookton hwy about 30 km after you pass the suburd roleystone. The common meeting point is about 13 km down metro rd. This is a very popular place for rides with many single tracks around.
To get to goorie rd travel east on gt eastern hwy. It is roughly 15 km from mundaring townsite. It will be on the right 1 km past old northam rd. Head down this rd and turn right at the first y junction and left at the next y junction. This is and awsome place if you like hilly single track riding. I'm there with a few mates every weekend if anyone is up for a real challenge

Only down that way last week. Heaps of tracks off Mungalup Road. Park near where Mungalup and Phoenix Road meet (near a pump station on a right hand corner), its only a 5 minute drive south of Collie. Lots of riding, power line tracks and forestry roads, can get through to Wellington dam with a GPS.
If your looking for a place to stay check out the Federation Hotel in the main street. 50 bucks a night but you share bathrooms (nice and clean) and a laundrymat within walking distance around the corner.
Make sure you take a mapped GPS and a few mates as the bush is thick and the tracks go in every direction, very easy to get confused. If you get lost you will never be found.
Check out Google Earth, lots of riding north of town but we never got to check it out as we moved onto Manjimup .

          Happy Trails

i go out most weekends weather permitting, travel along powerlines from mundaring to ink pen road (about 35kms) and back with many tracks leading off from there.there are some designated areas for off road vehicles ie wanneroo/pinjar ,henderson that you can google and a track out at metro road.
iam old and slow but can show you around the powerlines.

                        Walpole

                        Hey everyone,
We are planning to head to Walpole for a camp (rest point) in May. Just wondering if anyone can share some good starting points for riding.
