This repair is the longest recovery of all procedures due to the complex nature of the shoulder joint
Go the SLAP, get it done, get it over with, take the time for recovery, yes 6 weeks in the sling, lots and lots of physio, don't rush it, dont try too much too soon...it will take 12 months for a full recovery, but then you'll be back, bigger and stronger than before...make sure the surgeon has proven results....
Physio, exercises, creams etc won't fix the problem, they merely delay the inevitable surgery...been there done that...all good now, popping monos and throwing balls, surfing, snowboarding, casting a fishing rod, doing up sump plugs nice and tight....
I know the "time will never be right", so just book the surgery and go....
