Doesn't the expansion chamber design provide the same effect as a turbo, once they come on the pipe you are in effect getting forced induction in a round about way.

Did you do a search?

I thought someone here posted a link about someone overseas with a Turbo Yamaha WR250f that pumped out 60hp+
Maybe this turbo would fit?

EDIT:

I'd like to know how they would do it, as at some point crankcase pressure has to be higher than manifold pressure so that the reed petals close

I just saw a turbo on a small bike in France. Turned out to be a "Smart" car turbo. Google it.

G'day,
About ten years ago I did see a turbo off a factory Kawasaki 750, I think GPZ, fitted to a 2 stroke jet ski. Think the jet ski was kawasaki 400cc. As far as the reeds went I dont know how he got around the problem, but It had nothing till about 5000rpm and then all hell broke loose for about 10 sec and destroyed crank seals, He played around experimenting with it for about six months after having no success and he gave up.

I have seen video footage of some local queanbeyan boys that fitted a small turbo to a CT110 postie bike.....it sounded cool, but did not work very well.
Ihatemud had the footage on his phone.

Turbo's are not really applicable to dirt bikes, as they take too long to wind up, when dirt bikes are all about throttle response.

the expansion chamber on a 2 stroke works similar to a turbo as it gives a boost of power but its more like having an aftermarket cam in a four stroke. when a 2 stroke gets to a certain rpm it sucks unused fuel from the exaust back into the otor to be fired again. i have seen a gif. somewhere that showed how it works but no idea where it is. a turbo would be way to hard to get to work on a 2 stroke. hence why plenty of people have done it on 4 strokes but not on 2 strokes
