Well I rode mine -

Just wondering what gearing to run a TE250 2t - any thoughts

I think its 14 /48 and feels a bit high - slowish to get into power band

I thought you had 13/50? ( Or maybe 14/50?) 14/48 would be a slug?
My KTM 250 has 13/52, the same as the day you rode it. I am going to try a 50 on the back soon and richen it a bit to tame it down and get some bottom end. Got a Suzuki needle to try, JD in it atm.

Yes its 13 sorry - 13 50?( stock) - still seems tall to me and has more than enough top speed. 13 52 sounds good .
Ive been using the Suzuki needle and is sort of smooths out power . .
The akropovic on mine also does that . I might try stock TE muffler again to see how it feels again - I tried a shorter silencer and didn't like it at all.
I'm at around 50 hours and I have a spare piston so might be time for that to go on soon .

My starter doesn't fire up bike until about 1/2 to an hour into ride
- time to service ?
