organised tour rides

Hey all,

I have been thing of doing an organised tour type thing like the Watagans Tours or the Barrington Tops 2 day tours, i know there are a few more out there.

has anyone done many of these and what are your thoughts?

I am thinking that they are for all types of riders or are these for grade 3-4.

any feedback?

Hey Grant,

I've done Watagans skills day (grade 1-3) and Bulahdelah 2-day (grade 3-4) with Bruce Hancock and can highly recommend.

He will also chat to you about skill level and recommend and/or tailor the ride a bit to the group.

I went with 19 mates and did a 2 day one in dungog .. . It was a great weekend .. it was a combo of fire trail and single track . Nothing really over grade 3 . There were a few hard hills if you wanted to do them but they all had chicken tracks .. it was worth doing in my books

I've done a few over the years, mainly when work/wife gives me a weekend off and I have no one to ride with.... they are pretty awesome!! Just no hassles, no getting lost kinda ride..... pull over after a solid few hours of seat time and someone shoves some lunch into your hand and fuels your bike-then follow the guy In front for a few more hours!! Beers in the pub at night, don't need much more really... Barrington tops is great riding so any tour up that way is worth the effort.. grade hovers around 3/4 with some big hills, but there is no worry cause no one gets left behind! Worth the money once or twice a year, and the operators do the right thing and keep the sport/punters/locals happy...
Go for it...
