Hey mate, just got a set of these for my young blokes KTM. They were already set up but I'm having trouble with the front wheel. When I tighten up the front axle bolt the wheel binds up , it seems like the axle is marginally too short? I have made the caliper fit by taking a small amount of metal from the caliper arm so that we enough clearance from the disc (same disc as per your pics)
Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

Sounds like the spacer tube between the bearings may be crushed or missing or the bearings may not be all the way home in their housings

Got it sorted, the front axle was the issue (it was a couple of mm short) all good now.

You have me intrigued...

I can't work out how an axle that is a couple of mm short can bind up a wheel.

Does the axle you used have a shoulder that the nut tightens up on to or something?

Cheers,
Brett

Yes mate, there is a stepped bush on the right hand side, with the axle being slightly too short, tightening the axle "bolt" (in this case) causes the fork bottoms to move laterally and it subsequently squeezes the hub bearings too tight.
