I've been here or only 2 weeks but already feeling the change of pace.
Spoke to a guy at a Hobart bike shop today and he said many mountain/ranges tracks connect in this area.
Sounds perfect!

Thanks Snoozer. Had a drive up Mt Lloyd and through to Moogara/Plenty and spotted bike tracks so will check that out on the Freeride soon.
Cheers mate, appreciate the info.

Stay clear of the centre of New Norfolk town and you will be right. Also stay away from Brighton, unless ice is your drug of choice.

Lachlan, Collinsvale, Moogara and the more rural areas are magic.

If I had my choice I would move to the Huon Valley tomorrow.

Recuper8 is probably the best hydration pack fluid you will ever use. Its like crack for dirt bike riders.

Girlfriend bought a business here and we spent a few days on hols in the area in Aug. Great spot, close to Hobart and heaps of activities/parks/fishing etc closeby.

Thanks mate, the friendlieness I experienced on my hols down here in August is part of the reason I decided to move.
Been a long time coming but we finally decided it was now or never!
Now I just have to organise reg for the Kato.
Also still have my beloved Montesa 4RT trials which I couldn't leave behind.
Loving the long days and lack of humidity
