It was a great season and maybe expectations get raised a little. MMs big save was special and so was his riding to win when he didn't need to. Love him or hate no one is taking their eyes off him. Danny did have a good win, a deserved one.

Zarco would be getting fairly sought after i would think?

It was a great season, one of the best, but a few weird things happened as the season progressed.

Lorenzo got better on the Ducati - markedly better - does this actually point to him being a really good bike developer?

The Yamahas got worse and worse as the season progressed. At the Valencia test last year, Vinales got on Lorenzo's old Yam and went fastest and repeated that at all tests and at the start of the year he was looking to be the world champion. But that slowly changed as the year progressed. Is this because they didn't have Lorenzo's good development oil? Loz might be the best developer in the paddack.

The Suzuki came good at the end of the year.

So did Jack.

I hope Jack getson on of the best Ducatis - otherwise he might end up like all the other Ducati has-been trash victims. Barbera, Redding, Vale... etc

Peddles win saw him get 4th in the championship

Ahead of Vale. So, take that all you Peddles-doubters.

^^^ Yes Mal, to see Mir ride like that from the back of the Moto3 pack was special. thrilling. It reminded me of watching the gutsy young Marquez when he was in 3. A future star and worthy world champ for sure.

Yeah, but not as good as Brad Binder - he went from dead last to first in a Moto3 race last year - remember?

Pete, in my view it was even better than Binders last to first race win. Binder started from the back of the grid and made it up to the top 10 within the first few laps while everyone was still close together and wasn't long before he was dicing at the front.
Mir got ran off the track several laps in and had to catch and pass various groups throughout the race, clearly riding well above the others.
I think he will be very impressive to watch in Moto2, I like these Spanish guys.
I wish they would stay a year or two longer in 3 class, it's great racing
