He Said What ! So...Who Said This

Current Direct Quote

Ive been working on a few things since the last race, .....said .

One of them was not using my rear brake as much" !!

"At the last race I think I needed five sets of rear brake pads and a complete brake line" !!

"And this weekend I didnt even change pads. So Im trying to stay off the brakes as much as I can and I think that made a big difference.

'He' said after his first Win in a little while...

So are the modern lightweight 4T Enduro bikes over braked at the rear?
I.E. Maybe slightly lacking in feel-ability?
As in more of an electric light switch. Its either ON or Not ON...

Who here finds themselves on a steep ravine, bobble and stalls it -
due to the a..e puc...ing effect ?

Do you mean the touch the brake down a steep loose hill , stalls, rear locks up ,wild snakies , high pitched squeals of terror, madly hanging on trying to gather it together and keep the undies clean as well... no not me...

Some people drag the rear brake[like traction control], I only did it on 500 2 strokes, it can become a habit ?

I accelerate whilst I'm braking & I brake whilst I'm accelerating:
I am strange, yet: We have those options:- So let's us explore.

Edit: My foot is always over my brake pedal, I've set it that way:
Often on full throttle: I'll apply a bit of brake without backing-off.

Edit2: Descending a very steep hill; I will power-on whilst braking:
This is to settle the suspension; so it works as it's intended to do.

Edit3: I'd liken it to "heel & toe". Throttle & front-brake together:
One may guess there's no reason nor point:- Once done one can.

And by dropping the rear ride height...it in effect kicks out the front steering angle
to assist straight line stability

I thought that 5 sets of pads in a weekend race meeting ...was a little excessive !!
Dont you think?

Even if HE is sponsored and well known at that.
Anyone now of him?
