You blokes are kidding yourselves by supplying maps to your favourite riding areas.
Sorry Roger you may want to provide proper facilities for us riders but at a huge cost that most riders are not aware off in regard to closing all single tracks and only being able to ride designated 4WD tracks that is an absurd idea as it is more likely to have a head on at higher speed.
We have ridden Anglesea for decades and have hardly put a dent on the map in relation to erosion except a few creek crossings, since 4WD,s have entered the area and gained access to some of the tracks they distroy most of the tracks and parks and DSE hardly comment on the destruction.
A big problem as Roger stated at our club recently, if the bikes didn't make noise with the problem of aftermarkit exhausts then we would have no problems, Bullshit But it certainly doesn't do us any favours and basicaly and you dont require a loud exhaust to ride fast. and to all the BOGANS who ride and will say *@#&*@#&*@#&*@#&off you tosser, in a of year or so enjoy your Designated tracks and boring rides.
The single track network is comming to an end with most of the unregistered riders doing small loops near properties with loud bikes to blame.
I"ve had my rant look forward to the response.

Cheers CHOP CHOP.

I hope the information on the map proves useful. We're wanting to find more locations where we can provide proper facilities for trail bike riders - good parking, toilets, information, etc., so this is a start.

so, what is the G O with this idea?

I fear Chop Chop is right. Are we not putting beacons on ourselves throu this idea?

What is the story with riding dirt bikes in vic anyway?

Please confirm that under no circumstances are we allowed to ride on single tracks...

PLease confirm any benefits of having full bike registration when riding on trails/bush only (and not roads).

Also, can those who publish their spot, can you possibly include distance of track? I do not want to drive on road for an hour and then find a track is only 1 or 2 km long...Even ball park figures for lenght of track is fine. Am I asking too much?

I am wanting to undertake long trail rides - is this thread not suited for me?

Digby?

Just wondering if anyone knows where the best starting point is on the Strathdownie Rd is? I've been out there a couple of times in the past, just cant remember exactly where we started. I know there are lots of markers but if anyone has a map of the enduro course out there that would be awesome if you could post it up.
Thanks

I guess you are talking about Cobaw.

Up three chains, left onto egans lane then right onto forrest road then follow it into the forest. Carpark is on the left of the left road just after the fork. Havnt come in the bottom for years (pun intended), usually park up the top but I think these directions are right.
