Its worth checking the tension on the carbie lock wire occasionally. I wired it up a couple of years ago and had it come loose last ride.

has anyone had this drama with the 17' ktm 300 Iv done two cables so thinking of rerouting the motion pro cable.
Do I have to change the throttle assembly also

Grab your throttle cable where it enters the top of the carb and see if it pulls out. Not sure about the other end, same I suppose.

This is what 2017 looks like, doesn't come out but there is 1-2mm movement. Same at the carby end.

Mate with a 17 300exc was having issues with the throttle hanging open the other month. Pretty sure when we looked at it it could pull out from the throttle housing easily. He didn't think it was the issue at the time as he could feel the slide bottom when he closed the throttle, but later in the ride addressed issues with the cable causing hanging.
