Our considerate souls have given you some good suggestions Tom68.
I suggest you give yourself an Enema.... Shove a finger up your arse.

Gain perverse/pleasure/satisfaction knowing Wifey has brought them.
Wax-type bullets at your friendly Chemist, say hairyone has sent her.

Having re-read over your posts: Consider a blood-sugar Diabetes test.
Also, if you feel a sling would ease your pain, Hospitals hand them out.

Excellent advice. Wish the Doctor had told me that Wednesday.

Doctor just got back to me, 12.00 pm Saturday..

Partially collapsed lung caused by shallow breathing.

Another night stay whilst they play with my meds.

Yet another night in hospital.

Doctor says I have a high pain tolerance, I said if that was the case I would have bluffed my way out of here by now.

I said when I got up from the fall I don't think my ribs are broken but there's definitely something wrong deeper in.
Ribs are broken but aren't sore at all now with moderate meds, lung hurts and can feel fluid moving around heart lung area.
Still, Docs are just keeping me in here to look after the lung, told them feels like something's floating in fluid in my chest, they said that's the associated Haematoma.
Must be deep, no bruising at all visible outside.

This isn't about me; it's about you Tom; & I'm certainly not boasting my own idiocy-stupidity & Alcoholism; nor accusing you of such.
On the MTB (cause I was already pissed) off-down the shop for more beer (a case of cans) to put in my backpack & ride-back home.

On the way there; I became over-indulgent & pushed the front-tyre beyond it's limits & went down hard... it hurt bad.
I got up & rode on; bought my booze & rode home (uphill) with my case of Oettinger in my backpack shoulder harness.

Partially due to the pain... I hit that/the booze/cans pretty hard that night.
The next morning I was still quite sore & sussed something was very wrong.
In-with about my relative sobriety: An overtly strong cup of coffee & a fag.

I bussed it to the/my local Medical Centre & said to the Doc: I think I've busted my Collar-Bone-Clavicle: He said nah: You'd be hurting more if you did.
I beseeched him to X-Ray it: Turns-out I'd snapped it like a twig: Opp needed/warranted: That happened: I've 8+ screws in me: Been there done that.

Bloody push-bikes & skateboards have injured me far worse than dirt-bikes.
I'm yet to hurt myself so much & so badly over 20 years riding my dirt-bike.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned stupid.

They've put me in another room, 9pm last night, 3.15 am now.

The nurse for this room has got me on a paranoid high with whatever she's given me.

The Doctors and Nurses have been telling me all along that they need to reduce my pain so I can breathe deeply to prevent Pnemonia.

The room they've now got me in has a patient with Pnemonia and another that's coughing.

That's obviously keeping me awake about as much as the three other patients snoring.

I'd hate to think I've been snoring and placed in this room for that reason.

Patient next to me currently talking to Doctor, gunna try and nab him when he finishes.

Then sometime around 4 am I hear the Doctor telling the patient straight across from me that she has ESBL and should be in isolation but no beds available at the moment.

Last rounds of bp check etc I went before her so that's good, but the Pneumonia patient was before me and they use under the tongue temperature checks.

Public hospitals are such fun. Good luck Tom. The under tongue thermometer should have a disposable plastic sheath.
