Corner man System

The lead rider will slow at a corner and point the next rider to that corner.
That rider (was rider#2) waits at that corner with their bike on the outside of the corner facing in the direction the lead rider went. Please dont take off your helmet and set up a tea party! For this system to work it requires us to keep moving asap.
The cornerman stays on the fuggin corner directing riders in the right direction until the sweep arrives and gives you the nod to continue.
The cornerman now becomes the 2nd last rider, and the system rotates.
Pretty simple heh?

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CORNER, EVEN IF NO ONE TURNS UP. STAY THERE, ONE OF THE RIDE ORGANISERS WILL COME BACK FOR YOU IF THERE HAS BEEN A PROBLEM!
DO NOT LET PEOPLE GO ANOTHER WAY!

Make sure you understand this before you turn up for a DBW ride. If you dont understand it, ASK!

Simple system isn't it? Why then does someone always seem to get it wrong?
Are we to assume from this post that someone got it wrong on a ride today?

I've known corner men to have been waiting so long that they had a fire going to keep warm. It was a cold winter day and we had had a serious delay to progress, this was in the days before 2 way radios were being used.

someone that has seen the light!!!

If someone further down the line has a crash or a flat, there may be a wait for a few hours. In this situation it may be permissable to remove ones helmet
