Glen Echo

Taking family there next weekend.
Has anyone been there lately?
How do the trails rate?
How many Ks of trails they got there?
Cheers

Hi sunny, I haven't ridden there myself, but a few lads that I ride with have.
General consensus among them seems to be that the trails are under-whelming and not as extensive as they once were.
It all depends on what you're after, I suppose.
If your kids aren't that experienced in the bush and on smaller bikes, then it's probably perfect.
The few guys that I know that still go there, go for the mx track/s and more specifically for their kids.

This is obviously all hearsay, so probably best to ignore it until someone who's actually been there lately chimes in

On a side note, this is interesting, from their website...

Glen Echo Park is now a member of the AMA family (Australian Motorcyclist Association). This means that the riders at Glen Echo Park will now have personal accident insurance cover.

Hopefully we get a few showers this week to keep the dust down for you.
Temps should be similar to this weekend.
Are you camping or just a day trip?

There's a few Dad's so we should check out all the trails.
Main reason to go there is to get my 10 year old out on the trails.
Hopefully there's some tight stuff.

I was there 2 weeks ago , tracks aren't to bad , the main track is fun, trails I rode more , not sure on the km's of trails, but there is some fun to be had , the "extreme" stuff is the most testing id say, its not easy but it's not extreme either. they have had some rain so it's not as dusty as usual , johns still very nice and grooms the tracks for weekends( runs cattle during the week)

Gap Creek out near warrick is awesome , hundreds of km,s of trails from very easy to hard , and the hard trails are really hard so beware.
The tracks are really well groomed from easy to hard big jumps and burms, enough to keep the racing motox boys entertained, and you certainly can pick them , some real shredders out there railing corners and whipping jumps.

the owners are fantastic, very nice people , they come and collect you're rubbish and give you new bags , decent shop out there with parts and gear , new amenities block with clean hot showers , heaps of toilets , very well layed out , camping areas with fire pits , a creek to swim in , it really is the pic of the ride parks.

ive heard moto cross mountain is good , but it would be doing extremely well to beat Gap creek.
