Good stuff.
The 86 and 87 CRs were both a big leap forward for dirt bikes, especially the 250s. The 86 model's combination of cartridge forks and a lovely motor was only improved with the 87's rear disc and better ergos.

Just sitting on the 87 it feels a lot better than the 86.
The rear shock was in very good cond ,I dont know how
Compared to the rest of the bike ,fresh oil and new bump
Rubber were all it needed.Machined up a couple of heads for the engine as well .Decent footpegs are a must .Repaired the battered brake pedal with some new parts still to be made.More repairs to the chain guide until I can track down a better one.

long time off but a bit more progress has been made
I"ve managed to repair the kickstart, and brake lever. The pipe has been repaired but still needs a bit more work to make it fit properly
I tried starting the bike but I may have an ignition issue to be found as it wont start as yet.

The pipe was a real mission multiple phone calls and 2 months of lost time and still doesnt fit properly. I have cut off the joint out of the cylinder to repair myself and fix so it does fit .
