That motor is something special, a real Jekyll and Hyde. Can be ridden in low RPM and it's a torquey pussycat. But has a wicked mid and top that allows you to smile while you crash into stuff at warp speed. It handles real nice too, as long as it's moving. It's heavy when it slows right down, or if you have a little man handling. But keep it flowing and you don't notice the weight.

I had a subframe tank on my bike for a while. I didn't like it. It upset the weight balance too much, and I was reluctant to adventure ride a bike not designed for it.

I had a 2014 KTM 300exc up until earlier this year, I compared it to the berg once. Then I realised it's horses for courses. These bikes can't be compared. The kato is gone, long live the bigberger!

Yep, I managed to keep the 570.

I'm in the midst of doing the steering head bearing replacement at the moment.

How is it treating you? DO you still love it? How does it compare to the newer 350's? Any one gone from a 70 deg to a newer bike and able to add comments?
The 390 is a great bike. There are occasions where I feel I'm still trying to gel with it though..
I rode a mates Husqvarna FE350 and didn't like the engine as much as I thought I would, definitely prefer the torque and tractability of the 390 engine.
