To put this topic to bed, it seems the bashplate was old stock. Updated model got sent out today.

I'm genuinely happy & pleased for you Mescaline.
I'll often use bits of inner-tube to isolate rubbing.
This/that likely entails "Loctite" &/or a Nyloc Nut.

Aww thanks mate
Yep have done the same on a few bikes, especially between the radiator & guards. The 300 had an annoying rattle/vibration from mid range onward, tube fixed it

Another way is to tighten two nuts onto eachother on the bolt's shank.
That effectively locks them both together;- it's not pretty but it works.
The reason you'll need to something-such; your innards will remain soft.

Well, bashplate #2 doesn't fit either. I could mod it so it kinda fits by drilling a new hole up front, but the angles in the bashplate do not match the frame. There is a 15-20mm gap at one bend.
So it can get f@$ked, I have had Force stuff before and it fit perfectly.
Pics should explain it

i have an axp plastic bashplate on my xtrainer with the built in cover for the linkage. it works a treat - im never going back to a metal bashplate. the plastic one slides over logs/rocks, doesn't reflect engine noise, takes a beating and won't crack, will bend but bend back into place - not stay bent like metal.
i smash my bike through and over everything.
if you can return that force one, try the axp

Thanks for the info mate, I like the idea of the AXP ones. Beta Aus don't have any in stock.. they have the Boano plastic in red which might have to do - and would work with the fastway linkage guard that came off the 300.
Headed to Kowen next weekend and I see Roon will be there. hoping he has an AXP that fits.

And yes I know the kind of snot you ride lol

Edit: Roon does have one, SOLD!
