It was a really, really tough day for me today. Starting in groups of 10 on the beach means that you not only have to fight for position with other riders, you have to keep an eye on your navigation while dodging the rocks and dust thrown up by the guys in front. My pace today was good but I cased out on one drop and that put a lot of strain through my wrist again. I was able to continue, but I am really thankful for the rest day now. I am happy to have reached the halfway stage of the rally so hopefully after a day off I will be ready to go again on Sunday.

4th outright and only 3 min behind with a dodgy wrist, I reckon he has this one well within his reach. He has everyone covered for pace, I reckon he will turn it up in the next half. There would be a lot of mind games being played.

/|\ This....If it was super tough for TP on Stage 5 as he says it would seem it was mainly thru the last 2 CP's 5 and 6.
Thru the first 3 Timing Points he remained a steady 1 to 1.30min behind stage time-setter Pablo Quintanilla (Bike #6)and then on Stage 4 reeled that into to 50secs. One of the fastest times set on that particular stage.
However on the last two stages TP gave up nearly 5min to Rider #6....was this 'a difficulty' or setting himself up for stage 6 to come....
Whilst TP is not in the state of health / ride fitness he'd like to be .....I'm not seeing the issues I'd thought he would run into with such a recent Scaphoid fracture.
Although these types of injuries can lead to a cumulative effect sooner or later...
I'm liking that the Rider on Bike #3 is always hanging around and in the placing's on the first 5 stages and not up down and all over the place ......

Looking promising for the final 4 stages !

Will Pricey finally instruct factory spannerman Joe Fahrner to remove the temporary KTM65Mini 'Throttle Stop' off his 450RR machine?

PS How do you recover a factory bike from an unrecoverably deep revene ?

Mr Soichiro Honda would be turning in his Grave !

Not unusual for that event.

Bit of footage showing TP taking his hand of the bars, must be bothering him. Commodore looks stuffed. Interesting the 4wd cars get of the line fast but get caught and passed by the 2wds on the beach

What happened to the windscreen of the commo? Was that a snatch strap through the screen you reckon?

Bit of drama from that last stage. Nicola Dutto has been disqualified after some kind of mix up in HQ, deliberate or non-deliberate is debatable at the moment it seems.

Also, I missed the name but one of the Truck crews has been disqualified after failing to stop to check on an injured spectator. The truck was navigating across the side of a dune and a group of spectators were in a prohibited zone, as the truck got close they all moved out of the way except one bloke that tripped and seemed to have his legs run over.
