2003 KTM 200sx jetting

Lads, just getting back into riding single and picked up a cheap bike. It seems to run on but I know that jetting can make our break the ride experience in these. It is running the following:

DDJ needle, second clip from the top
180 MJ
38 PJ
Number 7 slide
Air screw is about 3 turns out.
Running 50:1 premix

Bike is running a gnarly pipe and KTM power parts long silencer. Only done a couple of hours on the bike so have not check the power valve setting as yet.

I realise that it is only a 200 so my only complaint is that I would love it too be a little crisper just off idle as it needs a lot of clutch at the moment to get it up.

Will pull the barrel to set squish age check rings after a couple more rides. Don't want to change too much at once.

Cheers Paul

So it got the better of me and I pulled the head. The top end is somewhat worn so it is going off for a birthday and the reed tips are chipped and cracking so a new set of those on the way.

Keen to get some guidance on the jetting if I can though as the PJ seems a little too small from what I have been reading- either a 42 or 45 seems to be the norm. The DDJ seems to be leaner than is normally run as well. Though it looks like someone has had a go at redoing the taper. The CEK CEJ seems to be a popular choice with the single taper needles.

The carby has S66A2 EJF on the side if that is of any use.

Finally based on the design of the head I think that this may well be an EXC motor not an SX as I was told due to a smaller squish band and slightly larger combustion chamber.
