Did ya try it without the PV spacer?

Yep lots of bang for the buck! Those stock tyres should last ya until 2021 at your current ride rate!

You know it!! I'm glad she works too! No issues with the magic button either. Hopefully it holds up over the hours but can't see why it won't. I haven't done any upgrades to the wiring either.. Just made sure I had some bare metal on the mounting brackets for the starter motor.

Wouldn't mind throwing a few mls of oil into the stator side, however couldn't be bothered sealing the drain at the bottom.

I didn't ride or even start it stock Shawry.. No baseline to compare to before the PV spacer or head work. 5th gear power wheelies EZ!

I pulled it out of hibernation of 4 or so years dumped a half of a tank of whipper snipper fuel in and kicked it about 12 times and surprisingly away she goes! Battery is obviously cactus. Cleaned the filter put on some new tyres and its ready for a ride on monday! Im expecting to get back from the ride with the need to do fork seals! Im back!!!

Trimmed bar risers down from 20mm to 12.5mm. Slid forks down to first line(5-7mm above triple). Been meaning to do this for 4 months.
Also fitted my flash red fork tube protector thingies. Look fast AF!
Really need to do the top end(96 hours now) just CBF.

New piston put in at 100 hours. Cylinder looked very good still, cross hatching visible & still had that rough feeling after a wipe out. Old rings mesaured in at 0.55mm.
Didn't actually even look at reeds or bother cleaning PV as it had nice smooth action still & not too much spooge in there plus ran out of time & wanted to ride it the following day. New Meteor piston ran 3 hours without lunching itself so all seems good. New blue AS3 silicone rad hoses fitted up nicely & ditches the thermostat.

225 hours put of OEM bearings is a bloody good run! I'm impressed mine have lasted to 100 hours. Did pack them from new though & jam grease in seal gap every time the wheels are off. See how they fair through winter!

225 hours since March 2018! (when GP's came to Aus) - Yo da man No Cams!!
I've got 80 hrs on my GP (+ another 40 hrs on my 350) & am now up for lower linkage bearings.
Where did you get yours? OEM or All Balls?
Motor still going strong may change piston at 100 or 120 hrs.

Also watch out for the clear lens on the rear tail light. Mine dropped off some where the other day. Thought the rattling out back was from the number plate or guard. To fix it you have to buy a whole tail light assy for $80.

Ive used all balls. Linkage bearing is a full compliment 2616 by memory.
Id prefer to use oem shafts, well see how these go. Id say the swing arm will require bushes and bearing in the next 50 hrs as theyre showing signs of slight wear.
Best bike so far,Ive always had long troublefree ownership with gassers, stacks more hours left in this scooter!
