RTCB Beaudesert Ride 11th March

Just thought i would let everyone know that the RTCB ride at Beaudesert was quiet good. The loop was relatively short 24km i think, and it was tight and technical and the ground in the majority of places was absolutely superb. Just moist enough, not very much dust and plenty of traction.

It also helped that the overall amount of riders was down - i am guessing maybe 450 all up - can anyone confirm??

The only gripe for the day was that there was strictly no riding to the start of the tracks!! Whilst this could be achieved if the tracks all started from a common location on flat ground but all of the track started in different areas and the open loop was up a bloody hill!! Mix that in with all of the so-called RTCB officials riding around telling people to get off their bikes - bloody hypocrites - My son who rides a PW50 cant even push his bike through the thick grass and mud.

Anyway the organisers from the RTCB seriously need to get some common sense and either create some dedicated bike runs to allow people to get to the start of the track easily or allow people to ride at 5km per hour and 1st gear - any nonsense above this then they can deliver their authority.

Anyone else experience the same???

This is the reason why I no longer attend. I was told the reason behind it was a kid was hit & injured by someone speeding in the car park and they took of after the accident. As you say, there is a easy fix by putting in bike decicated access to the start of the loops. As for the double standards of the so called officials (half of them kids with a hi vis vest on) seems to be hard to swollow. It is a pity as they are great events that need improvement especially now qld moto park is just up the road that have bike decicated acess roads to the tracks/loops

Thumbs down RTCB Beaudesert Ride 11th March

I was really annoyed by the organisers harassing everyone to get of there bikes. I had one short ride on the Novice/Junior track with my 5yr old on his Peewee 50 and when we finished we were told to get of our bikes. I had to push mine back to our site then go back and push my sons, it was through a mud patch and long grass, my little boy just could not do it. Yet they were racing around everywhere on their bikes just waiting to harass you! Wasted $35 as I didn't ride again. First RTCB event and I wont go again. Not a family friendly event.

When dry, dust bowl. When wet, chewed up and busier than a motorway.
Kids track was chockers and car park warriors out in force.
Went once, never again.

Was going to go to the next one but sounds like not worth it. Hate it when everyone is punished because of the few and then someone pulls on a uniform or a hivis vest and they think they are god.

I've only done one of these rides, which was at beaudesert last year. I think they're a good thing, the volunteers seem to do good things and I will go to others when I can. The rules about riding in the carpark are a pain but not a deal breaker for me, although they should probably check out QMP and take some pointers from their setup.

QMP took 12 months to build and is permanent, RTCB sets out track and carpark on sat and packs up sun arvo when track closes

I understand that there are time restraints in setting up a event and I also understand the reason behind the no riding in the car park but I have been to a event where they put a ring road around the outside of the car park for entry and exit to the tracks. I don't think it would take much time to set up considering the time taken to stop people riding in the car park.

my biggest complaint is they won't cap the amount if bikes in there and continue to cram in as much as will go just to take as much $$$$.
think it was about 1200-1400 bikes at the one I went too, was fricken rediculous !
