Sounds awesome. Definetly not trying to bag the tpi at all. Just wondering if anybody had any negatives to report.
The only scary thing is if it is running lean when bike is initally started until warm as reported. .

There is another thread on here looks just like this one. The first service for the 2018 TPI updated the software/firmware to fix "a" lean fuel or lubrication issue. I don't have one. There is probably a bulletin on it from KTM. Someone who has one can provide better detail. I would buy one if I could justify it - 2018/19 either way.

lean issue.... well my mates TPI smokes plently on cold start up

If a bike runs a little lean well at idle is probably the best place for that to happen, there is lean and then so lean it blows a piston, not to many of those reports around

I guess the lean on start up is the biggest worry. I have heard off. People have torn them down and found scoring on barrel. This is only what i have read.
Buying new bike at end of september. Used to be easy to choose a bike. Now spoilt for choice. Brands and Cc's
50hrs on mine now and just got the dealer to change the map from ďunrestrictedĒ to sport rider.

Best mod so far, seems to richen it up a little, not as fluffy down low, and power has a smoother transition into the mid range. Still super strong up top.

So what? Smoke has SFA to do with lean running on a TPI bike. The computers' control over the oil injection is completely separate to the fuel circuitry control.

The bike controls fuel:oil ratio and fuel:air ratio separately AND independently...
