Cool mate, I think deleting the kick start is simply an ecconomics thing, less to engineer, manufacture, assemble and provide bits for, also possible to lose some weight...

Thread bump...

Looks like I have the same problem as the original poster, so where does one get replacement brushes from? Do Yamaha sell just the brushes?

The very reason i off loaded the ttr was starting dramas and sticking throttle , generally gave me the shits from new .

Mines been faultless in the last 12 months besides this intermittent starter issue.
