Here is probably the only review that I've seen one them other than Mr Bergman's video which is probably worth a watch if you haven't seen it already.

http://www.enduro360.com/2014/08/19/...-front-review/

There is a vested interest in this one by the way, bit like myself. I don't think there has been an international hard enduro event that hasn't been won on a 216 90/100 in probably forever too.

Interestingly my KX5 that came straight out of the Californian desert had a GT216 desert on it which is the same as the fatty but a four ply version, ridicuously tough tyre. It has two Finke victories in two starts too.

If there is a negative with the fatties is that they will try and stand up in deep ruts with fast guys on a mx track.... apparently. Unfortunately I can't verify this without some means of getting fast. By the way, you can get one can of coke to last for four rums... it just isn't pretty.

Edit. Some people love the fact that if you don't move your forks they will slow the steering down a little. Can't vouch for it though the Why Zee doesn't have that problem, especially when it is sitting in the shed.....

Any long term reviews on the GT216 HB AA front 80/100-21?

The Fatty 90/100-21 does not appear on the Australian website any longer.

I just put a 90/90 216 on my bike last weekend:
https://www.goldentyreaustralia.com....ront-tyre.html
Description says larger section but same rolling diam. as the 80/100. Went on easy tubliss style. Might be an alternative if 90/100 isn't available?

According to the product description it looks to be for 'hard' and 'very hard terrain'.

I'd prefer something more intermediate;

The Goldentyre product codes are a little weird

I found the 90/90 ok but not terrific for grip but all the side knobs break off and the centre knobs are perfect still which is very annoying.
I will never run another.

Not good.

Think I might start a 'Which Front Tyre' thread and grab my popcorn

Well I shall report on how the side knobs hold up, I just removed a Geomax MX3 because it lost side knobs - not optimal with tubliss as some of the leaks were through quite large tears.
I knew about the hard terrain, thought maybe it had something to do with reinforced sidewalls. Regardless, its new and if it sux ill rip it off and try something else.. Plenty of farms around here that use tyres on top of silage pits

I have had a GT216AA 90/100-21 Fatty on my 450 for about 20 hours.
LOVE this tyre! run about 6psi with tubliss, and can not fault it in any way.
grips very well on all surfaces, and has hardly worn at all.

Also have GT 232N on the rear, and love this tyre too.
60 kms on GT 216X gummy, very impressed with the grip to wear ratio on this tyre too.

Cheers, Simon.
