Walk lots
Visit mates
Join a new sport

Delivered the eulogy at my mothers funeral yesterday.
Come hell or high water I'm off for a ride tomorrow.
Still is the best antidote for the blues, however I'm bangin some of that out on the guitar as well.

Excercise is best.
Hard to get started but once you get going there's no stopping.

Depression sucks big time.
I suffered pretty bad a few yrs ago.
As I say now the most powerful weapon in the world is not the nuclear bomb, its kids. It will bring the strongest man down, as long as he has a human side to him.

Drink is evil. Ciggies didn't help. I found excercise was the key. Push yourself to the limit. Find your pain threshold. The reason for this was I couldn't sleep. I was a zombie. The excercise wore me out so I slept, I ate, I lived on.

I also found that a trip to a worse off country, Bali, helped with my depression.
Helped me realise that I have it pretty good and my issues in this country can be overcome pretty easy. Although our legal system is flawed it is better than a lot of folk have.

Stay strong DBWers.
And if your in construction you can check out MIC mates in construction. Don't be shy. It will help. There are people that do care.

Good luck.

Mate ive found trail riding with motocross goons and stupid people has been one of THE BEST cures for depression. Don't take riding too seriously. It's meant to be fun

Got bit by the black dog last week for reasons Im not going into. Being on a small holiday and drinking heaps contributed. Speaking with mates is a huge help, not so much about what has happened except with 1 or 2, but just chatting etc. Need to get back into exercise and wont drink for at least 3 weeks. That generally helps. BTW its great that this topic regularly comes up here, the level of maturity and openness around it is surprising based on some threads here
