Mr Bergman where did you get them, qld offroad tyres lists some, not 230
Full Force Racing has some 230's at Maroochydore, that I sent up the other day.

I don't have them listed on the website, but I will have shortly, I personally prefer the 523 up here especially in the rocks and hard pack

Cheers for the info. What are the 230's and 523's like in the wet and mud respectively?

Also what sort of $$$ are we looking at for each?

it would depend on your riding i guess. i know graham jarvis used the GT216 front and rear for the wildwood rock extreme enduro.

my decision to try the goldentyres was a last minute decision so i asked the guys there what they recommended and said a GT216 front but GT230 rear as it's a bit harder so lasts longer and would cope with all the rocks a bit better.

i'm in queensland and will be getting mine in future from queensland offroad tyres out near ipswich. got my you beaut suomy ventilated helmet from there just the other day for summer riding too.

Thanks for the link. I don't see the 230's listed there, any idea on price of those?

The GT230 is the soft/intermediate terrain tyre, and the 523 is the intermediate/hard terrain tyre.

The GT230 will be priced at $110, same as the 523 for a 110/18 rear.

We have had great results with the 523 in everything from mud to hardpack when the boys were running them in a 19" for MX. I personally rate the 523 for snotty, rocky riding, and is my tyre of choice for day to day riding.

The GT 216 front comes in two models the 216HB for interediate/soft terrain, and the 216AA for intermediate/hard terrain.

Hope it helps, happy to answer any questions you might have.

+1 for the 523 on rocky stuff and hardpack. Good on sandy single too. Get it with a GT mousse and enjoy.. might be worth a look next time mr bergman!

From tapatalk but not sent from a fruit based product.

I have only got the 216AA 90/90 but if the 90/100s are available I will bring some up to QLD for sure. Not sure how much difference the extra sidewall depth would make, but testing tyres is a great reason to go riding if one was needed.

Sure is a good reason to ride. I'll grab one if you bring some up, let me know if you do.

The Enduro360 review was with the 90/100/21. A few comments in there have me interested in trying an oversize front tyre. "plush ride" "stability in sand" etc. etc.

yeah, keen to try out the whole range eventually. only problem is it's taking a while to wear out this GT230... will just have to ride more!
