Sore elbows and shoulder

I am not sure if its tennis elbow or old age ( 47) but I am getting sore elbows and tip of one shoulder blade. Been going to gym for a while but I think I may have to stop any heavier weights as the body is cracking up .
Waking up in the mornings sore .
Could be a bone/body type issue -
Anyone else had similar issues and have any luck with any treatment ?

Get onto 6000mg/day omega 3 and a chondroitin/glucosamine supplement, if it's a joint lining/meniscus/ thing that'll help heaps. Cheap and worth a try.

Could just be over-masturbating though.

Petes right. Bout the fish oil n glucosamine not the masturbating. Well he may be right bout the masturbating?!

Anyhoo fish/krill oil n glucosamine do work well. I gotta admit iv bn slack with it since stopped playin footy past coupla years, should get back on it. I get bad elbows(tendinitis can't straighten arms right out-self diagnosed) too lapper. Put it down to footy. Light weights n stretching exercises mite help

I'm with u on the heavy weights at the gym don't think it helped so jus do cardio/core stuff now. Too much effort to get big then keep muscle on. Does help for riding tech stuff tho I reckon can jus lift up or out/brute force n ignorance ride!

Ive been watching guys doing that Cross -fit stuff - big in the states
Getting quite big here too.
Might have to change to that type of gym though and do classes

Ive started doing more light squats and dead lifts now rather than chest, arms and back exercises .
Supposed to increase the testosterone which is dropping after 40.

Yeh and more core stuff and rowing . Maybe try some cardio haha.

The old wrap around ear warmers! Guess depending on your technique could get a decent lean on the elbows too.

On a side note Lapper, do you think that it's gym/bike/work related? I have an office job, and the extended hours spent sitting in front of a computer swinging a mouse is harder on my body than doing something physical. Getting out and using the body is what makes me feel better.
