KTM 450 EXC-F 2017 3 days old

Yep, picked it up on Sat. Stolen on Monday.

Taken from Samford area west of brisbane. No ADR stuff fitted or rego plate but it is registered.

Only distinguishing features are a map switch and black KTM Powerparts Barkbusters.

One thing when ever I buy vehicles/bikes is to never give my home address on their paperwork, there was an aftermarket accessories shop back home in NZ where staff members took note of what you bought and then would come and steal what you just bought, could very easily happen at dealerships anywhere,it only takes one rotten staff member with access to purchase records, not saying this is what happened here but something to think about when buying new

Hope you can get your bike back

Yeah, I bet a million things are going through your head as to why, how. Too easy though as you probably told heaps of people about getting a new bike, and why not. Was it visible and shiny out front at any time?

What actually does happen to brand new bikes that are stolen? I mean, what is the way they are passed on?

Can only be motocross'd or parted out.

Can never be registered again cause it would come up as stolen.

It seems from my observations, that a lot of them are sprayed with black or silver paint and just messed about generally to change their look. The bike is then ridden/trashed in the bush or on private property (sometimes on the road) by the dregs who wouldn't/couldn't pay for a bike and don't care for or have any mechanical sympathy.
