pivot works have a full kit it turns out, ordered and awaiting delivery.

frame stripped and off to be repainted.

the next query i have for my summer project, turns out the cylinder has been re-sleeved and is now over-spec for the standard pistons. What are my options here? i'm thinking i have a couple..
1. re-sleeve again.
2. have it bored out another 2mm to 56 to make it a 144 ?
3. start again with another cylinder

thoughts, opinions ?

I'd start with another cyl, but depends on costs

2mm extra bore will only make it a 133 by my calcs.And that's if there's enough meat in the cyl to go that far.If so, you could replate and use "144" pistons MAYBE
edit: 144's are 58 stroke and 56 bore or thereabouts

thanks for that. my bad on the 144 calculation. stroke on this top end is 54.

the theory was to use a 56mm piston, that was one tight-arse option. new cylinders are over a grand which is a lot more that i'm willing to throw at this project if I can help it.

Another 54.25 sleeve is around $150 delivered from the US plus fitting. I'm reading quite a few arguments for/against re-sleeving, is it that bad to steer clear of ?

The eBay gods have been kind and I've found a good cylinder that won't cost me a kidney and my first born in the states . The project continues..
