If anyones interested i bought a Shoei. 9 levels of quiet compared to my shark, but still need ear plugs. Much lighter and doesnt leak, visor clips in real tight, otherwise its just a helmet and i have 700 less in my stash.

Iíve had Shoeis for the last 15 years. I bought a Fox in between helmets which fell apart within a year so went back to Shoei.
My kids only wear TLD or 6D, fits their head best and 6D technology is 👍🏻

Ive got a 9 year old shoei road helmet that I crashed in but it didn't hit the ground, just the visor scraped a little. Would have replaced it by now but I sold my road bike. Helmet still seems new anyway. I would get a new one if I got another road bike.

My dirt helmet is a Fox v1 from about 6 or 7 years ago and I'll probably replace it this year as Im riding dirt a lot more now. Looking at Shoeis $$$$

I was surprised how fiddly and tiny little pieces of plastic on Arai visor locking system were. I probably wouldve bought the mid range Arai if it wasnt for that...also surprised how much i dont like the ratchet chinstrap on the newer shoei...double D ring seems like one of those techs that doesnt need changing.
