Are you positive it's an earth problem?

Does it need a relay to power it?

i put power from a battery to it and earthed the frame to the battery, then put the earth for the horn on the frame and it still didnt work!!! the horn definatly works because i put it straight on the battery and it beeped.....how do the electrical system earth out on the older exc's? went through the loom and couldnt find an earth at all!!!

I'm not sure if a horn that small would need a relay, but I'd be looking into that.

Though, if I couldn't find a proper earth on the frame, I'd try using a separate wire straight from the horn to the battery.

yeah might have to look into a relay, thought i could just splice into the headlight circuit. cant use battery kickstart only (although i wish i did have a e-start)

Ahh. No battery. Might be stupid, but did you have the bike running when you tried?

hahaha well first time i didnt (had the expansion off) but every other time i did.....it has me stumped, cause even with a battery on the positive side of the horn and the frame earthed out it should work when horn earthed out on the frame....but it doesnt. the earth i traced into a relay looking box(which isnt a relay....dont know exactly what it is) with 2 wires-one earth and the other i am not sure about.

Does the horn itself even work?

Tried connecting the horn straight onto the battery?

Well, other then using a multimeter or something similar to find an earth, I'm afraid I can't help. Sorry.

Hopefully someone else with have something a little more insightful.
