correct fuel rating

howde my ride is a ktm 350 excf 2012 i'm running BP ultimate 98% and wondering if it might be running a little hot. Should i run a 95% instead

I was thinking the same with my Husky, I consulted the owners manual and it said to use 98 RON so I stuck with it.

yea Im thinking the same the manual states 95% but i figure 98% wont hurt the other day on a ride it seemed to be running a bit hotter than normal though

Dude I reckon if your manual says 95 RON you should go with that, at least try it and see what happens. There might be other factors involved in the overheating, tight singletrack, lots of clutch action etc etc

Maybe running lean... I know it's efi but my 2010 530 was cooking hEaps then jetted, now it's ok. Maybe a re-map is in order.

what info do you have ? temp ? boiling ? pinging ? computer ? unsubstantiated/gut feeling ?

Yea just a gut feeling I guess. I was riding a normal loop we do and never any issues except this time There was small amount of steam coming from the radiator

Does the new 350 have a rad fan ? Steam will come off rad if it got wet from a puddle etc.

The bike shop I deal with says use 95 in all late model bikes, you don't need to use 98
