RM250x

Moved from Suzuki:

In 2008 I bought a 2002 RM250. Had some fun then the big end let go.

Got the motor fully rebuilt including top end and it has been sitting since 2010.

Plan is to 'create' a fully registered RM250 hence RM250x

Will have 18" rear wheel, heavy o-ring chain and PC Platinum pipe. Will also add a 9oz fww and lighting kit from Steahly Offroad

I have recently acquired a 1998 ADR compliant RMX250 frame and compliance plate

Recently got my suspension back from suspension matters. Forks have heavier springs, gold valves and new seals, rear has re-chromed shaft new spring valving and a rebuild.

Motor is off to DMCCA to get the head sorted and some mild porting.

2008

As it sits today

Will be joining 2 frames so will be legit

Last night I ordered the fww, lighting kit, PC Platinum pipe, FMF Q Stealth silencer (less noise is good), plastics, bash plate and an IMS 3.4g tank.

Will steal the Scotts damper back off my wife's 200exc (have ordered RM specific mount)

As some may be aware the rear RM hub/axle is a very unusual size. Originally I was going to lace new rims to the original hubs, but for a few hundred more I've decided to go with a new wheel set.

Well a big **** up on my behalf and a bit of a Derr moment. Bike is actually a 2002 model but made in 09/01 (10th digit on vin is a '2').
Wouldn't make much difference but the stator changed in 02 so I have just had to order a new lighting stator/coil
Turns out it's a Canadian model too. Was this the case for all rm's bought into the country around that time?

Got the frame back from the powdercoaters. Very similar colour to stock but with satin clear and the powdercoat should be more durable.

The new expansion chamber also arrived.
