Christmas present idea for the kids

I made a couple of wooden dirt bike models for my twin grandadughters' christening and thought they might be motivation for someone else to make a gift for therir kids or grandkids.

My inspiration came from this website https://www.wooden-toy-plans.com/woo...otorcycle.html

I modified the design by sketching my own silhouette for the side view, and added details like handlebars and knobby tyres. I did those by using a "ghetto lathe" setup on my power drill to create the appearance of tread, rims and hubs, then added the knobs by engraving with a dremel. I also used engraved nameplates to cover the dowel joints.

Obviously you could simplify the ideas to suit yourself, but I created the keepsake I wanted for my girls. The best part now is when they want me to get them off the shelf and push them around the floor and giggle when I "ride" them over their legs!
