Already 50% better! The website says ‘over 20000ha’, thats leas than 44000 , correct?!!

Guys, I was told by DEH the total area, including Reserves & annexing portions of S.F. is in the order of 40,000 Ha, possibly more.

There is no accurate total area yet because who knows how many private land owners will want to sell.

The area really doesn’t matter - the point is if you can’t legally access an area you once could, it’s size is irrelevant.

Very proactive, well done all. I'm not near these areas but the message to send to the gov and groups is the same across the country. Maybe set up a template email with a list of loc gov email addresses, and an online petition to link to.

When they knock down every tree in sight to build housing estates all around these forests without blinking an eye it makes it hard to believe that they are trying to protect Koala's.
