I Only had the pleasure of riding with Frank a few times. I lead a few rides that he was probably bored shitless on, he was happy to sweep and urged me to lead more rides. After just riding with him a few times I started calling him Yoda because of his age and wisdom and knowledge of the area. What I know of Frank he hated the heat, wet feet, lantana, and loved the single. Thought adventure riding was like watching paint dry. Just for Frank next ride I'll go to the Gibber and tell it what a shithole it is, stop in the creek and get wet feet, push through some lantana and curse it profusely, then ride a few sections of endless singy and tip my helmet to the man that was Frank400. Didn't know you that well Frank bit I knew what u where about.... Ride on mate

That's dreadful news Zimmo. Frank was obviously liked and respected by many here. Sincerest condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed...

Sad News.
I rode with Frank a few times and considered him a top bloke.

Very, very sad. I am grateful to have had some great rides with Frank from the "gentlemens" rides, fast flowing singles to plenty of "explore" rides where we'd end up down a gully pushing through head high lantana to make a new track. We will greatly miss Frank - he was a legend lead rider, great for a laugh and a top bloke.

That is very unexpected and sad news.

For someone that showed no signs of slowing down, it really is a shock.

RIP Frank, you will be missed by all. Great to have ridden with you and thanks for all the tracks.

Zimmo I know it's early to be thinking about this, but what do you think about doing a memorial ride in his honour in the coming months?

I am in COFFS Harbour and just found out.....
I can only express my deep sadness to hear of Frank's passing...
I'm so happy to have known a great bloke like Frank, a gentleman, friend and confidant to many.
I was there on Franks first DBW ride at mt mee when Erwin thought he'd stick it to the old bloke but Frank showed em what he's made of on the old WR400, hence his name.
Frank was to join us on many many rides with Pete and Manager on Sunny coast, mt mee, woodenbong and COFFS harbour.
When I dropped off with my first leg break, Frank stood up and thrived in track knowledge and building as Zimmo mentioned to be an undisputed leader,Always there to help out in any way.
I know a lot of people are richer for knowing Frank.
RIP mate....

Yeah, that single he has cut in is legendary - we can't ever let that die. The amount of work in that alone some people couldn't do in a lifetime. Epic is a word overused, but definitely not in this case.

Tragic news.
Lovely chap. Only got to really meet him once and he alleviated my pain with a few analgesics from out of his backpack.
