Speedo cable connector TE 300

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows where to get the small rectangular metal connectors so I can reconnect the broken wires.

(There is enough lenth to just shorten strip, crimp and solder, slide into the original clasp.... job done.

Or will any old connection do? (Checked out Jaycar and they have something similar)

Bike shop will only sell whole cable for around $80.00

Thanks in advance.

Solder and heat shrink? No connectors needed. Or have I misunderstood what you are doing?

Hard solder the two wires and heat-shrink them. For the amount of times you need to pull the reed switch from the caliper frame, it's not worth the hassle of fitting that bodgy, flimsy connector. Just de-solder the wires if the need arises.

My husky uses the same pins and plug, I got away with one solder job and the next time it snapped off flush. I foolishly thought I could disassemble the plug and repair it in the end I went the solder heat shrink option too has been working fine.
