Should we get one of these rides happening again? Next Saturday/Sunday anyone? Been on the bike once this year.

Belanglo seems to have some track closures happening.
Anyone have any further detail?

I believe that sign was at Jellore CJ. Saw this on Facebook:

"Spoke to forestry today re jellore. Due to noise complaints , forest degradation. Dumped vehicles and rubbish all single track leading off firetrail and main roads are off limits to all vehicles. A police blitz is likely to occur sometime in the future. Please repost to other groups for me please."

It seems the cuddly Koala are being used to push us out of the forests.

This is nonsensical - how do you dump a vehicle (presumably a car) on single track?

More Rangers NOW to stop these yobbos, car thieves & other littering scum.

As it is, rego-paying, decent dirt bike riders are being lumped in with these f@ckheads AGAIN and the result is potentially we all suffer the loss of more riding areas, ie OUR S.Fs.

Never ridden Jellore, but I LOVE Meryla State Forest & Ill be riding there til they come and kick me out.

Big picture - illegal land clearing by farmers, suburban sprawl & domestic (& feral) animals have done more harm to Koala habitat in NSW than dirtbikes ever have or will.

How can we show lawmakers & the cops that a responsible cohort of dirtbikers exists & we all want the same thing - a beautiful, natural environment to enjoy our pastime. After all, these are OUR forests.

Effing spewing about this!

Take these forests out of places to ride and it leaves very little within decent distance from the southwest of Sydney. This will just make riders ride in illegal areas more often. Its not just the dirtbikers they hate but anyone who gets any enjoyment out of the bush. This sucks.

Have you ever seen a Koala while riding?

Have you ever run over a Koala or seen one run over by a dirt bike?

I haven't .

Dirt bikes have never caused problems for Koalas.
So we should be able to continue sharing the forests with these and and other wildlife as we have done previously.

Writing to the Minister in charge is the only way to get heard now not whinging and whining on the forums, after the forest have been changed to exclude motorized traffic.
