Tsp head work

Got my head back from Dave a week or so after I sent it (had marked it do it when you can) and finally got a chance to go out and test today. My bike (Ec300 2018) was knocking a bit when really hot and heat soak had a chance to sink in.
Short story it is nothing short of amazing the difference getting the head set up.
I can ride one gear sometimes two higher than usual, the power feels 250 smooth with 300 grunt if that makes sense. I could even go slightly leaner on the pilot if I need to. (Down to a 38)
The motor is now so quiet I can hear the chain and sprockets and the discs whooshing between the pads!
Still waiting to hear from Dave on what the comp has been dropped to. It was apparently very high before.
Very highly recommended! 🤘

I rode this morning with my bro after Nate helped diagnose a closed throttle lean condition, which is now fixed.

I also had my 250 head cut & reshaped by TSP.

I agree with the above - night and day smoother & quieter. Great power, too.

Different bike - Iím absolutely stoked with the result.

I've got no idea about 2-strokes, but why does the head need machining/changing on new'ish bikes?

Is it because they design them for full-throttle MX stuff?
Or for different altitudes or fuels than we have here in Aus?

They don't "need" anything. It's a first world problem. Just goes to show what can be done by a tuner who does some good research through experience and design to make something already good - better.

They are set with a wide squish from the factory so they work in Riyadh, Reykjavik, Rochester & Rio on basically anything 91RON & up.

Best $275 Iíve spent on a bike for the result I got (KYB SSS for $400 a close second ).

Tsp head work

Iíve got one of the new tsp cnc billet heads on my 300exc and it runs great so much useable power, definitely runs cleaner and can carry a gear higher without using as much clutch
