350exc-f 2014 - removing domino over/under start button

Had the joy of doing the Hattah aquamarathon this year, and still dealing with the carnage of it... Sandy salty mud through everything has done no favours but particularly the starter button has finally had enough. It doesn't latch properly any more, hit and miss, so I want to delete it and replace it with a simple push button like later models.

Is there an easy way to do it, ie does someone sell a plug and play way to do it?

The part I don't get is when I remove that domino factory switch, I lose the abilily to turn the bike 'on/off' - The new button becomes the start button, sure, but how does the bike get turned on and off with a system like I'm suggesting? Kill switch would still be on the LHS headlight switch arrangement.

Just wire in a kill switch as well. Easy done, just will take up more real estate on the bars.

Ive done the same on my 2014 450 exc

You buy it all from KTM ready to go, pretty sure its just the SX setup.

Start button on one side and kill switch on the other, works a treat.

i've had good luck so far since replacing mine with a newer style.
If the internals have a sliding plate and pad setup, they aren't very reliable IMO.
