Get in contact with Junior Trials.com.au,they are opposite Frazer park turn off[or Gwandalan,Summerland Point turn off] on Pacific Hwy 10 mins south of Swansea. He will have to do a Kickstart program to get a race licence and join a club.Junior trials teach all the basic`s of riding and is a great place to start racing, they do all disciplines, minikhana,Motox, trials and enduro.
They have their 1st event for the season this Sunday being a Enduro if you want to check it out or you can come to Maitland on Sunday for a Motocross practice day or Cessnock the following Sunday for more of the same.
All clubs provide Kickstart programs.
Get ready to open the wallet, and keep it open

Minikahna is the go. There are clubs everywhere, just google it. Best way to get kids into racing...

Maitland cancelled their practice day,due to work, money, effort and rain. You just groom the track don`t you.

Also get him off the peewee,if the finances allow it,The TTR 50 is a far better bike for a learner and will give him more confidence.

get him on a ktm mini adventurer if you can, there the best thing for little kids to get going on, they have suspension that works

Lakes MC also has a good junior racing competition worth a look at. I got my young fellow started out there, but he was a bit older.

Cheers

I stayed away from mentioning Lakes as the track may seem a bit daunting for a 5 yo on a PeeWee,Maitland,Cessnock and Junior Trials do cater for the Nippers far better, hence there is more on the track and more kids to play in the dirt.
