Are you going to do a change at all? What tyres are you running?

Im not intending to do any tyre changes unless I tear a carcass, this is my first ever "enduro race" so my mark of success is to just finish and as long as I have some rubber on the rims I reckon I have a chance... Ive been practising riding on bald rears and shredded fronts on my current bikes
I'll see what bike I'm riding to finalise tyre choice. Im currently booked in the Vintage Class (pre 86 bikes), but I may swap over to Veterans (All powers) and ride a BETA 2T....

Yeah, Im thinking TuBliss rear and mousse front, depends on which bike I end up running, which depends on which class I finalise my entry, which depends on getting an air cooled 4T motor back from rebuild in time...

I tried tubliss on one state round with Dunlop mx32 tyres about 4 years ago. I didnít have too much trouble with them trail riding through the summer before so thought theyíd be fine. Well I was wrong. 9 holes on the first loop. I plugged as many as I could but second loop they went flat again and the sharp rocks took out the inner and I had to ride it flat and then put a heavy duty tube in it. Cost me 20mins of trail time.

You will always push harder in racing and the track will get much rougher with heaps of exposed rock. If you are going to run a mousse up front chuck one in the rear too and you wonít regret it. Tyre wise you prob canít go past a Bridgestone x30 for durability to get you through the 4 days if you are worried about changing tyres with mousse tubes but a bit of practise and itís as easy as tubliss or tubes.

A mate of mine rode the Warrugal(?) 2009(?) 4day with Tubliss fitted. He had no problem and he was a very fast rider. Could be luck or terrain dependant.

I'm getting pretty excited for the 4 day. Sold out now which shows what can be done with the right organisation. I've also been keeping an eye out for info on what terrain is like and what tyres to run. From what I've seen of previous events it's going to be rocky, at least in parts, so I'll go for pretty durable tyres with Mousses. I'm hoping to not change tyres during the event.

Guys, anyone know where the tracks are going to be located - I know Watagans but am trying to get a handle on which day to go & watch the race.

Would rather watch a bush section than the final Moto at Cessnock Racecourse..

TIA
