Or you could write the word 'like' onto a piece of paper and cross reference it to a particular Post / Thread.
This could then be placed in an envelope, affixed with a Stamp and posted to the relevant Administrator.
The Administrator could collate all of this information onto a spreadsheet and post up a graph of statistical data that we could analyse in our own good time and respond in kind if warranted . .

The VB software actually does this. It displays how many times you've thanked others and how many thank you's you've received.

I know you were taking the piss but this is exactly what VB does...

The like counter is used on Facebook to support the marketing system, on a forum it would be beyond totally useless. Forums are supposed to be about discussion and information sharing, and a like button promotes neither. At most it will just feed the ego of certain forum user types.

Seriously though, sometimes just CBF'd writing something to say good post/photo/agreed type of deal. Like button just be easier
