The more pertinent point here is the/our up and coming younger generation of xyz.
The/their inundating flood/info rendered our Dewey Decimal Classification obsolete.

Back in my day (I'm an old fart) info/knowledge/wisdom/insight took effort to find.
These days it's all "Grand Theft Auto" & thus it's each poor bastard for themselves.

I do not see any particular age bias in the supply of bad information.

Maybe no age bias but as Hairy said, good info is reasonably easy to find via Google, the problem with that is, the people looking are to bloody ignorant of basic mechanics and physics to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Absolutely.
We all have to start somewhere - and I respect anyone wanting to increase their knowledge. So I get particularly annoyed when they are given shit advice when they lack the knowledge base to sort out the good from the bad.
