Yeah. I'll probably wish I was doing the same, half way through each day.

I'll be making the trek over. I've done a few condo 750 now and love the country side. Looking forward to it.

Bloody oath!
Few beers and a bit of a cook up will be on the cards.

well what a weekend, just got back home in adelaide. I had an absolute blast. Made some new mates around the bonfires over the weekend, And thoroughly enjoyed myself. Out of all the events I've done across the country in the last few years, this is right up there as the most enjoyable and laid back event.
Had a crappy prologue but started making up for it till about the 150km mark where I ducked under a tree branch and forgot to weave around the next tree. Huge off at about 80kph into the tree. Took the wind out of me and needed to get a hand from the guy behind to lift me and my bike off the track. Sat around for a while to suck the pain up and continue riding. My foot was throbbing. Couldn't stand up on the pegs at all. Made it over the line in 137 which considering what I did, I was happy with. Spent most of Saturday night around the camp fire with my foot in a bucket of ice watching it turn black.
Sunday, slammed a few panadol down along with my breakfast and geared up for the return leg. All I wanted was to finish, couldn't care how slow I was. And that I did, plus made up a few places along the way. It wasn't a very comfortable ride back mind you. Either way, I finished and was happy.
Jumped straight In the car with another bucket of ice for my foot and headed for home, made it to broken hill last night and home this afternoon then straight down to the local ED to find broken bone in my footage and some ligament damage. Cast/moonboot for next 6 to 8 weeks.
Oh Well,a all good. Already planning my return to next years event!!!
