Yes, bending the tang up should mean that the fuel cuts out earlier and there will be less fuel in the carby bowl to overflow. There is a video here that shows a good way of adjusting it.

I should have gone with my first impression. I watched that video and another before doing it but probably got confused because they don't have the carby still attached to the bike, unlike me, so it's not upside down.

So 08 TE 450 Husky pegs fit ! , had to rob Peter to pay Paul but at least i can buy Husky pegs to fix the old girl up again .

Bit like taking a dog out for a walk to sniff other dogs butts, took gassy out to meet a a few other dbw gassers and had a great day, 140km of awesome conditions and equally good tracks. Bike run prefectly all day even if I didn't. On a side note out of a group of 6 bikes 3 were gassers 2 were yamahas and 1 lonley ktm and the only bikes to have to have issues were the japs (electrical issue and a flat) go figure I always thought the jap stuff was indistructable. So going by the numbers does this mean that gas gas is the new orange
