riding around Launceston?

I'm moving to Launceston end of October and was wondering about places to ride in the area? I have a full rego'd wr250f. Are there are ride parks or off road riding areas where you can do loops of single tracks in the forest?
Cheers Chris

There are a few. I have only done Bakers Beach a few times and up around Scottsdale. Get on Facebook and look up Trailriderz. They seem to be a group of blokes that ride around Launceston. Have not managed to get on one of their rides just yet.

From Launceston there is good riding basically everywhere to the East. And the South. Fair bit to the West as well.

Recuper8 is probably the best hydration pack fluid you will ever use. Its like crack for dirt bike riders.

Yes. But you end up heading East anyway.

We're doing an epic 9 day Tassie tour late November, it involves three locations close to Launceston, two (Scottsdale and Retreat) are very close. There's masses of spots there though, as Shane said, in all directions.

PM me if you want to tag along for a day or two on our trip. Northern day's will be around Nov 26th.
