Changing exhaust

Probably a silly question, but ive just taken the GYTR exhaust off that come with the offroad kit on my 2018 wr450f and put the stock exhaust back on, is there anything that will need to be changed engine wise before i go riding? Like mapping etc.

Fuel injection will sort itself out since it's the 2018 model

does the wr450f have open loop or closed loop fuel injection?

just done a bit of googling, it might be open loop as there are kits available to install lambada sensors in the exhaust for 3rd party programming.

my understanding of efi is if there's no lambada sensor then a remap is required

most dirtbikes run open loop efi because there is usually too much throttle variation for the system to continually process and correct itself. Closed loop efi works well with road/adventure bikes as they tend to stay at constant throttle a lot more (like a car).

It's open loop so it isn't going to adapt to the change, but it probably wasn't mapped to suit the gytr system to start with ? it's unlikely to do any harm... at worse it'll run worse and at best, it might even run better!
