Retrofitting power tuning app & CCU to older models?

A bit of a longshot but as the title says I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to use the new power tuning app with older models (2015 onwards). Obviously it would at the very least involve hardwiring the CCU onto the system for wifi connectivity but I suspect for one there would be more hurdles to cross than that & it's probably not in Yamaha's interests anyway. Maybe some other 3rd party players are onto it but finding nothing yet googling it.

FWIW mine's dead stock & haven't hooked it up to a power tuner as yet. I'm 99.9% happy with it for what I do but it could do with a little more punch on faster firetrail sections, particularly uphills. Probably do better to get a gytr or fmf silencer on it first.

Nutty claims he has it on his 18 FX. He gave a part number of an OEM module but it doesn't seem to exist, however I never looked too far into it. I've never heard of any other reports of adapting wifi to an older model.
